Roland D-110 Synth PatchesRoland D-5/10/20/110 Synth Patches - Sound LibraryThe D-110 and its siblings are very good synthsin their price range - less than the D-50 but more than theMT-32. But like the MT-32, the D-110/5/10/20's internalarchitecture allows for much better sounds than it containsfrom the factory. We've heard that the factory rushed it outthe door a little prematurely to make money on the hardware, nottaking the extra time needed to better program it. Although it'llnever sound as good as its big brother, the, weyou'll be pleasantly surprised to hear how much better itreally can sound.ManyMIDI Products has developedthe most highly-organized, professional synth patch library availablefor the D-110, D-5, D-10, and D-20 synthesizers:The price of these is $29.95, with an Unconditional Money-back Guarantee.Every purchase is secure and risk-free.To see what others say aboutthese synth patches, take a look at.Purchase our D-5/10/20/110 synthpatches by clicking on the ADD TO CART button. # of Banks# of VoicesTotal: D-110 Set341199The 1199 D-5/10/20/110 synth patches in this sound library are the finestavailable from any source. Every kind of sound that the synthesizer iscapable of producing is included - no type of sound is left out. If you want tomake the most of your MIDI studio, these sound banks are exactly whatyou're looking for -'I have your Roland D-10/110/20 set. I canvouch for the fact that it makes much more sense thanorganizations like Pop, New Age, Rock, Top 40, etc. These namesreally don't help you find the patch that you have in mind asquickly as having things organized by instrument.

Overall, Iwould say that the patches are an outstanding value. From myexperience, ManyMIDI technical support is excellent. If anyone isin the market for patches for synths, I would recommend checkingManyMIDI Products out. I will be purchasing your and patches as soon as I getthe money.

Roland released a bundle of patches from the XV-5080 series that is compatible with the Fantom X/XR. It can still be downloaded from Roland's website. It doesn't cover all of the XP-30 because it doesn't take the expansion boards into account, but a lot of the sounds are still represented there. If you want the expansion sounds, you should probably pick up the Complete Orchestra and Ultimate Keys SRX boards.

The patches the SRX boards come with are not exactly the same as what's in the XP-30, but you should be able to program anything you need fairly quickly. Hope that helps.Bill. The good thing about the Fantom XR is that if you like the Fantom sound, you can expand it with 6 SRX boards that will give you a ton of waveforms and patches. It'll cost ya, but you'll get a ton of sounds. Some of the best expansion cards (I'm talking SRX now because that's what the XR takes) are the ones that came from the SRJV series - typically they'll combine 3 SRJV into one SRX and then add parts of other SRJVs on top of that.

So you can have the Complete Orchestra (all SRJV orchestrals/choirs together), the Ultimate Keys (will have what you've got in your expansions and more), the World Collection (latin, world, country, etc). Then you still have room for 3 more and if you play pianos and EPs the SRX-11 (piano) and SRX-12 (EPs) are a must-have. Then add one of the dance-oriented cards or the drum card and you're done. The downsides: when you're done doing that, you could have bought a Korg M3-61 (they're selling open boxes for 1300), expanded its memory and added all the extra sounds that Korg makes available for free for almost a half gig of PCM sounds (it's like getting free expansions from Korg as long as you have the memory to put them in). If you got a used M3-M you could add all that and also add Radias. And the M3 would give you much better editing with the touchscreen and buttons.Which brings me to the 2nd downside of the Fantom XR: the screen is so tiny, I'm sure Roland didn't expect anyone who bought the Fantom XR to ever edit its sounds.

Trust me, I had one and it frustrated me very much. But if you gotta have those Roland sounds, and you don't mind paying for the expansions, and you don't really tweak your sounds much, then you'll be well served.
